Why book a simulator
Keep playing through the winter.
Most golfers stop playing between October and April. The course goes to temporary greens, the evenings get dark, and by spring the swing has gone backwards.
The simulator is a warm, private bay where you can play a full round or practise properly, with Trackman measuring every shot. Tour grade technology, a spacious hitting area and a premium golf ball.
You get the club data behind the ball flight too: club path, clubface alignment, swing plane and angle of attack, alongside carry and total distance. A round indoors takes around an hour per player.

The same dual radar system used on tour and by most top coaches. Every shot is tracked from the clubface to where the ball stops, and the courses play to their real yardages.
Pricing
Simple pricing, by the hour.
Solo golfers get lower off peak prices and maximum Trackman time. Groups share the cost of the bay, so it gets cheaper per person the more of you there are. Up to four players.

How booking works.

Book online
Pick your hour on the online booking system, 8am to 10pm Monday to Sunday. Off peak is weekdays before 2pm.

Turn up
Ormonde Fields Golf Club, Codnor, near Ripley. Park directly outside the range and your bay will be set up and ready.

Play
Choose your course or practice mode and get started. Staff are on hand if you have not used a simulator before.
Common questions
Before you book.
Do I need to be any good?
No. It is a private bay, so it is only you and whoever you bring. Beginners and low handicappers use it equally, and you can set it up as easy practice or a full round.
How many holes can we get through?
Allow around an hour per player for 18 holes. Two players fit a round into two hours; a four ball should book longer, or play 9.
Do I need my own clubs?
Bring your own clubs if you have them. Premium golf balls are provided. Wear trainers or golf shoes.
How accurate is it?
It is Trackman, the same radar system used on tour and by most top coaches. Distances, ball flight and course yardages are accurate.
When is off peak?
Monday to Friday, 8am to 2pm. Peak is weekday afternoons and evenings from 2pm to 10pm, and all weekend.
